A photo of the box, once opened. Unfortunately I ran out of time to incorporate proper storage for the cards inside the box. The board itself was made via Laser Cutting.
The lid made from tiled A4 Kikuju scribbled paper and a single Laminated A3 poster picture.
First set of character cards designed in PowerPoint using various screenshot images of Resident Evil 5 to form the different assets around card.
2nd set of character cards.
The back and front of character cards that would represent one player in the board game.
Discarded weapon cards that were designed to slot into the sides of the RE5 Character cards to not take up too much player space.
Discarded weapon card designs. Designed deliberately to replicate RE4's inventory screen, the player would have these cut out card pieces and place them in a small cash lock-box to replicate the briefcase.
Once upon a time in High School, for my IB Design Technology project, instead of designing and prototyping an MP3 player or a phone, clock or other standard product, I decided to continue my board game streak by creating a fan game based off of Resident Evil's Mercenaries mode. Using what I learned from my Metal Gear Acid board game, I designed a PVP or Co-Op VS Boss game with cards, a light-up board and built in speaker for added immersion!
DISCLAIMER: This is a pure fan project created in 2008 and was not taken further than for educational project purposes.
